The Musician’s Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) organised Ghana Music Week Festival was an epic failure as less than two dozen people turned up for the occasion.

The Independence Square venue was a deserted place around 11pm, despite the event being slated for a 6pm start, GhanaWeb reported.

The event was put on by the musician’s union as part of events marking Ghana’s 60th anniversary, yet somehow organisers endeavoured to turn it into a massive embarrassment.

It’s even more despairing when you think of some of the names that were billed to perform – Samini, MzVee, Knii Lante, AK Songstress and other top dancehall stars.
