Giving out your full card details over the telephone, when you are even sure about who you are speaking to–is not advisable.
Yet, a post we’ve changed on Facebook suggests that Uber Ghana is taking a grand piss with their customer service and does not care about the widespread global data thievery–to the extent that a customer is asked to provide all his visa card details on Instagram.
Though the chat took place as a DM–it’s no way safe to send such full payment details to anyone, across the web considering the ease at which another person can get access.
Uber Ghana asked for full card details, expiring date, CVV number (back 3 numbers) and the name of the bank.
Indeed, if this is true, then whoever at Uber Ghana that asked for the info ought to be called to order–and please don’t give out your card details to anyone like this over the web.
