Otiko Djaba Says Former President Mahama Is Not Qualified To Be Her Husband

Otiko Djaba

Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba, says former President John Dramani Mahama is not qualified to be her husband as some have claimed.

Otiko and the former NDC leader, who is her cousin, have a contentious relationship not just due to their political differences, but perhaps something much more personal.

It was recently claimed that the pair had been betrothed to each other from a young age, but Mahama broke off the engagement because Otiko was arrogant, leading to her animus towards him.

But in an interview on Asempa Fm’s Ekosii Sen program, Otiko said Mahama, who is a close family relative, could not be engaged to her as claimed since that would be incest.

She said the person who originated the rumour, one Haruna Mahama, was simply up to mischief.

Otiko revealed that whilst she respects her cousin a lot, she’s often at odds with him because she’s disappointed that he failed to develop the North during his time in office.

Watch her deny any love relationship between Mahama and herself below…
