The group has proposed for the desired re-demarcated region to be called “The State Of Western Togoland“
Police raided the latest event of the group on Tuesday and arrested it’s founder Charles Kormi Kudjordji with other two members Martin Asiama Agbenu and Divine Odonkor and charged them with treason.
However, Bright Dzreke a member of the Group speaking on GhOne News described the treason charge as inaccurate. Against Police report that the group was hoisting a flag of their suppose State which is tantamount to treason, Mr. Dzreke said the flag was a flag of the group and not their desired State therefore such allegation is false.
He also argued that the Volta Region was a long known State as “Trans Volta Togoland” that was added to Ghana after a plebiscite but as to when the name changed to Volta Region, is what they don’t know and exactly seek to change.

Their petition was also addressed in a Ho Magistrate Court today [Thursday] March 9, 2017, which declined jurisdiction on the case with the reason being that the weight of the case can only legitimately be decided by a High Court.
Joy Fm has accordingly reported that Accra High Court has granted bail to the three arrested members of the Group but the case is gaining grounds on social media with some Voltarians supporting the move.
