A Ghanaian supervisor at the Marwako Restaurant in Abelenkpe, where the recent assault of a Ghanaian worker by a Lebanese supervisor occurred – has jumped to the defence of the supervisor.
Who ever said anything about standing up for your compatriots?
According to Bernard Opoku, what happened to Evelyn Boakye, who alleges her supervisor held her down and rubbed her face in pepper, is ‘not aything bad’.

He said what happened was unintentional and nothing like that has ever happened in the company before.
“I have not witnessed something like that.” he told Citi News.
Irrespective of what Mr Opoku says, Boakye claims her face was rubbed in pepper for close to ten minutes and multiple media houses who have spoken to her notes her eyes are not in good shape. Police are still looking into the issue.
Marwako, for their part, have suspended the alleged perpetrator, Jihad Thaabn, whilst the police case is ongoing.
