Shatta Wale has few industry people backing him in this difficult time – everyone seems to be going for Yaa Pono.

Whether that is because Pono really beat Shatta or they just hating, only time will tell.

The latest to join the train is Samini, Shatta Wale’s long time nemesis, who has revealed that he’s not surprised at all that Pono whupped Shatta’s ass lyrically.

Speaking on Hitz Fm, the High Grade Music Family head said he believes Pono went in really hard on his reply, showing off his lyrical skills.

“I have heard Yaa Pono’s version (Gbee Naabu).” he said. “I think he went very hard. The Yaa Pono I know and the lyrics I heard, I wasn’t surprised…”

Samini, however, called for the beef to be conducted in a peaceful manner and for violence to be eschewed.

“I think they should firm up the lyrics and keep the beef tight so the fans can be excited to appreciate dexterity and lyrical self-defense when it comes to poetry. I don’t have anything against you feeling some type of way and expressing it in a song. What I pray for is no violence. I don’t advice and condone lies and fabrication in beef songs, you need to make sure you’re speaking the truth so that you can defend yourself when it’s due…”the ‘Yonnah’ hitmaker concluded.

Samini and Shatta Wale themselves have not had the best of relationships, often at loggerheads over who is the true king of GH dancehall. They seemingly reconciled at last year’s Saminifest though, so only time will tell how Shatta would feel about these words from Samini.
