HMD, the company holding the rights to the Nokia brand, debuted the new look Nokia 3310 Sunday at the Mobile World Congress.
The darling of the pre smartphone era, the 3310 was at a point the peak in innovation, and its sturdy body and durable battery meant it remained a favourite for a long time and was arguably the most successful handset of that era.
HMD has relaunched the phone, this time with minimal tweaks to fit the times. It’s a mix between a smart phone and the pre smarthphone era cells.

The reboot, which becomes available later this year at the price of $52 – is not meant to be a main phone but a trusty side phone with a powerful battery and with basic features.
Tech site Gizmodo took a look at the phone and elaborated on what can and cannot be done with the new handset.

As already noted, HMD does not expect the phone to be anyone’s first choice, but a solid back-up phone for use in conditions where your smartphone fails you or is unavailable.
