The 89th Academy Awards show – the Oscars – came off Sunday night at the Dolby theatre in Los Angeles, California.
The biggest awards night in film, this year’s show was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and featured a never before seen mix-up in announcing the winners of one category.
‘LaLa Land’ thought they had picked up the award for best picture, but it turned out to be a ‘Steve Harvey’ style mix-up, with ‘Moonlight’ being the actual winners.
A moment of levity on a night dominated by the shadow of Donald Trump, whose policies are undoubtedly not liked by the majority liberal Hollywood.
