It emerged yesterday that Adwoa Agyarkwa Anyimadu- Antwi, the daughter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akyem central constituency Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi who was a student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has committed suicide.

Though she left a suicide note (below) telling her parents she is sorry not to have become the daughter they wanted her to be–it’s not been officially confirmed what led to her hanging herself.

However, several social media users who claim to be in the known say Adwoa Agyarkwa Anyimadu- Antwi committed suicide because she failed her exams. Apparently, she failed TWO courses.

Reports say the school authorities have informed the family about the incident where messengers were sent to Parliament in Accra to also inform the father.
