Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, the private legal practitioner whose client-Sarah Kwablah alleged that Ghana’s Black Stars’ captain Asamoah Gyan raped and sodomised her has stated that the incident has made Asamoah Gyan a curse to the national team.

Ampaw claims among other things that, it’s because of Asamoah Gyan’s curse that the team he captains is unable to win any trophy.

“Black Stars can’t succeed with Asamoah Gyan, unless Asamoah Gyan comes clean and Nana Addo allows justice to prevail, the Black Stars will go nowhere,” Maurice Ampaw said.

According to Ampaw, it’s only in Ghana that a serious allegation has been made against the whole national football club’s captain, and everyone is silent on the issue.

He continued: “No wonder we go and we don’t get medals because the nation is supporting and condoning evil! If a woman or a poor person cries that injustices has been meant and the nation protects and covers injustice, how can the Black Stars succeed.”
