Mahama Missing At State Of the Nation Address

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo delivered his 1st State Of The Nation Address today in an august ceremony graced by all high profile political protocols Ghana has but certainly without the immediate past President.

In detail Ex-President John Rawlings and John Kuffour were present but John Mahama was missing though his vice K.B Amissah Arthur was present.

The last time we saw the honest Statesman was in Gambia with Nana Addo during the inauguration of Adama Barrow which we believe he has been back to Ghana because a check on his social media platforms proves so.

So one may ask why or what will make the celebrated statesman be absent from today’s distinguished democratic ceremony? Neither was there a goodwill message from him.

Nana Addo’s State Of The Nationa Address 

In Nana Addo’s State Of The Nation Address, he agrees to Ghana’s Economy being in a bad shape just as he foresighted during his campaign-era only with some few additional woeful surprises. However, he lamented that he wasn’t voted into power to complain so his government will fix Ghana in an Akufo-Addo way.

During his an hour long speech, the President lauded Charlotte Osei for steering a commendable election for Ghana and hopes for the routine to be maintained and deepened.

Nana Addo also reiterated that the FREE SHS will commence with the 2017l18 entrants and Teacher Training allowances will be restored.

GhanaCelebrities.com however identified a jab thrown by the President to those who hold the perception that, he is too much in hurry with the Free SHS programme lest its starting with some loopholes and challenges as he said “if I am in a hurry, I am in a hurry to ensure every child born in this country attends school   from kindergarten to SHS“.
