Wiyaala Says Only Lazy Artists Mime Instead Of Performing With A Live Band

Noella Wiyaala says artists who mime instead of performing with live bands are simply lazy artists.

It’s practically a norm in Ghana for artists to perform during live shows without singing with the live band but just shouting along to the songs being blared out from speakers.

But Wiyaala, who is well known for always performing with a live band, says the artists who mime are simply lazy. She told GhanaWeb in an interview that miming is something she would never do in her career.

“I love live music. It’s who I am. And I always say there is no way I will mime. Miming is for lazy people. I’m not lazy; I’m hardworking,”she said.
