Hitler’s Phone Sells For $243,000 At Auction In The US

A phone belonging to the former leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf  Hitler, has been sold at auction for close to a quarter million dollars in the United States.

An anonymous bidder placed the highest bid of $243,000 for the item, which was placed on sale in Chesapeake City, Maryland.

Bidding opened at $100,000.

The red phone, which has the Nazi leader’s name engraved on it, was found in his Berlin bunker in 1945.”

Soviet soldiers gave it to British officer Sir Ralph Rayner as a souvenir shortly after Germany surrendered.

The phone was sold by auction house Alexander Historical Auctions

The phone was reportedly used by the German leader, whose regime killed millions during the second world war, to give orders during the seven year global conflict.
