Ghana Premier League champions Wa All Stars have been kicked out of the CAF Champions league after a 2-0 loss away to Al Ahli Tripoli capped off a miserable, two game run in the tournament for them.
The 2-0 loss means the Libyan club beat the Ghanaians 5-1 on aggregate, kicking them out of the continental club competition at their first try.
All Stars, owned by GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, conquered all in Ghana last year to win the 2016 Premier League, thus earning qualification to the Champions League.
However, that continental journey has been brought to an abrupt end – after losing the first leg 3-1 in Ghana and the second 2-0 in Tunis.
