President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made so many promises to get himself elected that I’m pretty sure he has forgotten half of them.
But for the people who changed their usual way of voting to throw their support behind him due to his promises, they are definitely not forgetting.
The Chief of Jato in the Suhum municipality of the Eastern Region, Baffuor Teitey Adjewi Narh, has called on the President to fulfill a campaign promise he made to the town which made them vote for him en masse.
The town, made up of a large population of akpeteshie brewers, received a promise from the President in the run up to the elections that if he wins, a distillery would be established in the town under the one district, one factory project.

The chief is thus calling on the President to fulfil his promise to make the area vibrant again and stop outward migration of their youth.
“President Akufo Addo during his campaign visited this area and told us that his one-district one factory programme will be implemented here in Jato by building a distillery for us to help in our brewing of Akpeteshie.” he told Adomonline.
