Another Critic Of Obour’s Tenure – Mark Okraku Mantey Rates Him 3/10

Slip Music CEO Mark Okraku Mantey has slammed the tenure of Obour as head of the Musician Union of Ghana, tagging it an unmitigated failure.

Asked to rate how well the six year term of Obour has gone, Mark said he would give the ‘Konkontiba’ hitmaker a mark of 3 out of 10.

That, by every account, is an abject failure.

He said Obour has not advanced the cause of young talents as expected and the welfare of musicians remains in a poor state.

Mark passed these comments on Starr Chat with Bola Ray, a conversation in which he revealed a lot, including the lack of bonafide dancehall talent in the country and how Sarkodie and himself solved their misunderstanding over the former’s ‘Kokooko’ tribute to Daasebre Gyamenah.

His comments echo a similar concern raised by Kwaw Kese in a recent interview, who also blasted the tenure of Obour as a colossal failure.
