Actor Richard Hatch, famous for starring in both iterations of ‘Battlestar Galactica’, has died aged 71.
Hatch died Tuesday at his home in Santa Clarita, California, after a battle with pancreatic cancer which he eventually succumbed to.
His son, Paul, confirmed the news with a short post on Hatch’s website.
“He died peacefully with his family and friends at his side after a battle with pancreatic cancer.” he wrote.
Hatch played Captain Apollo in the cult classic sci-fi series, and incredibly was on hand to play another role during it’s reboot in the early 2000’s.
Aside Battlestar, Hatch appeared in movies and series including ‘All My Children’, ‘Dynasty’, ‘The Love Boat’, ‘Santa Barbara’, ‘Murder She Wrote’, ‘T.J Hooker’ and Baywatch.
