Most impressive Black Stars player at the just ended AFCON, Christian Twasam Atsu, has packed his luggage and set out from Africa to the U.K to join his Newcastle United team in their fight to return to the English Premier League.
Christian Atsu, who was named with Thomas Partey as part of AFCON’s best 11 players, has sent out a humble message to the fans and supporters of the Black Stars – saying though Ghanaians are heart-broken, they should expect a brighter future for the Stars and the Nation as the team will come back stronger.

“As I leave Africa and head back to the UK, I just want to take a moment to say a big thank you to all the Ghanaian fans for your support to the Blackstars team throughout the AFCON tournament. You have been absolutely amazing for us, and joined us with the positivity and belief. Unfortunately things did not go as we wanted so we could not celebrate together, but we will continue to work hard and will come back stronger so please keep believing! Thanks again to all of you, we really appreciate you getting behind us. #togetherandstronger ??”
