Assin Central Constituency MP, Kennedy Agyapong, at the period when Charlotte Osei was appointed as EC chair, alleged that she got the job not due to her merits but due to getting laid.

Embattled Minister-designate for Gender and Social Protection, Otiko Djaba, then pounced on Kennedy’s allegations to jab Mahama for such an appointment and called for the issue to be investigated.

Kennedy Agyapong is however not pleased Otiko was questioned about that issue during her vetting.

According to the Assin Central MP, he was the one who made the comment and the Minority NDC should rather question him to retract not Otiko.

PeaceFmOnline quoted him saying:

“Why are you asking her to retract? They should come and ask me and I will retract. Let them dare me, let them dare me because I don’t lie. Why are they asking Otiko, they shouldn’t annoy me and they will see the evidence that will come out. Go and ask Lordina when they appointed this woman as EC Chairperson whether she was happy about it,”

Kennedy Agyapong, whose wealth seems to let him manoeuvre everywhere, even through the NDC or NPP,  explained that he is NOT a misogynist because of all the women Mahama appointed to head various institutions, he is not bothered with any except Charlotte Osei being EC Boss.
