Cameroon beat 7 time champions Egypt Sunday night to win the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The Indomitable Lions came from a goal down to beat the North African side 2-1, to complete an incredible tournament where very few considered them favourites.

Arsenal midfielder Mohammed El Neny put Egypt ahead in the first half, but second half goals from Nicolas N’Koulou and Vincent Aboubakar led the young Cameroonian team to victory under the eagle eyes of former stars Roger Milla and Samuel Eto’O Fils, as well as CAF President Issa Hayatou.

The Lions thus lift their fifth Afcon trophy, their first since 2002, and move ahead of Ghana in the total tally.
