The Stallions of Burkina Faso beat the Black Stars to Bronze in the third place playoff game at the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

A late Alain Traore freekick beat substitute goalie Richard Ofori to hand the Burkinabe the win over a much changed Black Stars team.

Coach Avram Grant rang the changes from the painful semi finals loss to Cameroon, including benching Razak Brimah for Wa All Stars title winning goalkeeper.

Ghana dominated the first half but failed to score, and the game seemed destined for extra time when the freekick went in to divide the sides and bring the game to an end.

Burkina Faso thus win the bronze medal at the tournament as the Stars place fourth at the Afcon for the third time in the past four tournaments.

Egypt and Cameroon battle it out for the ultimate trophy in Sunday night’s final.
