The famous Nigerian man who had close to 100 wives and kept marrying in his old age because he said God wanted him to, has died.

Mohammed Bello Abubakar, known as Baba Masaba, died over the weekend in his home in Nigeria after falling ill.

Abubakr has made local and international news over the past, mainly focused on his insane number of wives and consequently, children – estimates puts his kids at over 200.

A traditional healer, he reportedly gets some of his wives by telling them God asked them to marry him after he treats them, a controversial method that put him at odds with Muslim authorities in the country.

Abubakar was buried on Sunday.
