Gender Minister-designate, Otiko Afisa Djaba, facing the vetting committee in parliament has shown no remorse for ill comments she passed about the Former President during the electioneering period.
JoyFmOnline quoted Madam Afisa Djaba for describing Mr. John Dramani Mahama as someone with the “heart of the devil” and “a violent person“.

When she was questioned by the committee for such utterances and asked whether she will consider apologizing to the Ex-President, Mrs Otiko Djaba said “I owe former President John Mahama no apology,” and indicated that she comes from the same region as the Former President hence it’s allowed for her to question his actions as her right. “The President is my brother and I spoke from my conviction,” she added.

The Designated Gender Minister also spoke about caterers who provide services to government’s School Feeding programme assuring that, those of them who haven’t been paid, will receive their payment in the coming days.
