A video from 2015 has emerged showing Ghanaian footballer-Andrew Ayew performing a ritual before Ghana’s game against Ivory Coast, which Ghana lost at the African Cup of Nations that took place in Equatorial Guinea.

Though old, the video shows Ayew sprinkling a whitish substance on the field before the match–and to think that in spite of it all, they lost the game makes it hilarious.

African footballers have been said to fall on charm for all manner of reasons and it seems Ayew is no different.
