The former manager of William Amui, the artiste known in showbizness as Ramzy, has rubbished claims by the singer who in an interview said his then manager never came to visit him when he was in prison.
Ramzy, after serving ten years at the Nsawam prison, was granted his freedom late last year and he has since let the world in on his woes and his plans for the future.
Okyeame Quophi who was Ramzy’s manager as at the time he was sent to jail has in an interview debunked claims that he never visited him, saying his absence was due to a very good reason.
Speaking with Ibrahim Ben-Bako on Hitz FM , he said:
” There was a promise to him before he went. There are a whole lot of things that I cannot talk about publicly…. It will not be professional on my path, but I quite remember I said the words to him before he went. I’m a man of my words.”
Quophi maintained that nothing can make him divulge whatever that was.
“Ibrahim, you can come hold my neck and hold my stomach I’m not going to say anything.” he added.
He insisted that he never went to the prison to visit though he made attempt and it was all at the back of the so called promise he made to him; the very promise he is not telling us.
“I’ve been in and out of the country for the period. We have spoken a couple of times. I made attempts but physically I never went there I’m a man of my word like I said,” he explained.
