‘Dancehall king’ Shatta Wale has joined his voice to the chorus of those calling for the veteran filmaker Socrate Safo to be appointed as deputy Minister for Creative Arts.
A social media campaign was started to lobby the newly elected Nana Akufo-Addo administration to appoint Safo as deputy minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and Shatta has decided to support the nomination.
“I still believe in this man… So let’s support him for a better industry for all.” he wrote on Instagram, accompanied with a photo of the poster circulating on social media.
Catherine Afeku has been appointed the substantive minister for the sector, but no word yet on whether Safo would ever get this post. For now though, he has the support of the self proclaimed king of dancehall.
