“I Won’t Compose A Political Song For Any Party” – Article Wan

We have lived past the election month and the cocoa season for those musicians who ventured into the political arena have been over for a very long time now— that notwithstanding, hip life artiste Article Wan has few words to say on that bit before the chapter is closed till the next election year.

Elections come with musicians and celebs composing political songs and endorsing one political party or another respectively and last year came with its own very set.

One person who for whatever reasons is not interested in the composition of political songs is Article Wan.

In an interview with Pulse Ghana’s David Mawuli, the ‘Solo’ hit maker established that composing a song for a political party in a way shows how much you are affiliated with them, to wit, once you make that move, it means you sleep with them politically and we couldn’t agree more.

“No. I don’t have to stick myself with a political party because we do the music for everyone. so taking one party will affect me where I am, so I will not do that.”

When asked if he would ever change his mind once the offer is good, he said:

“With me, if I say no it is no. I don’t think I will do that.”

Let all with ears note this one somewhere safe because we will be here to remind him should he make the mistake of going back on his words.
