A suicide bomb blast on the campus of the Nigerian University of Maduguri has led to the deaths of five people including a professor of the school.
Two suicide bombers entered two mosques on the University campus and blew themselves up, leading to the deaths of five and injuries for over a dozen others.
One lecturer at the University, identified as Professor Aliyu Mani, head of Veterinary Services at the school, was amongst those killed.
“Eyewitnesses told SaharaReporters that suicide bombers hit the university while some students and staff of the university were observing early dawn Fajr prayer at 6:30 a.m Nigerian time.” the news agency reported.
