Former first lady Lordina Mahama has hit out at the critics of her husband, the former President John Dramani Mahama, saying that all their efforts to bring his name into disrepute shall ‘fall flat’.
Lordina took to social media Wednesday, not long after the letter circulating showing the President had withdrawn his request to keep his official residence for retirement was revealed, to send out her strong message.
The former leader had requested the building to be requited to him for retirement, even though it was an official state building. But the request had been met with hostility from the public. Under intense pressure, he wrote to his successor, Nana Akufo-Addo, to withdraw the request.
Sharing a photo of the letter, Lordina wrote that:
“This too shall pass.Their efforts shall fall flat because you are a man of integrity & principle. They shall be put to shame by #MahamaLegacy,”
