Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reached a joint agreement in their divorce proceedings which indicate a mutual desire to move forward and be done with the process soon.
The pair released a joint statement Monday night, their first public display of unity since their very public, acrimonious split.
The statement indicates that an agreement has been reached for all documents pertaining to the divorce to be sealed off, ostensibly to protect the children from the public scrutiny.
“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification,” the couple said in a statement obtained by CNN.
The pair have been involved in a high profile custody battle ever since the improbable news of their divorce broke. Angelina currently has custody of the kids, whilst Brad receives supervised visitation.
