Majority speaker of parliament, Honourable Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu says he finds nothing basically wrong with the president’s plagiarised speech.
According to him, it is really difficult to pin down names to quotes.
“If Nana Addo used that, what is wrong with that.
It will be difficult to say that these are the words of President Bush and President Clinton because they were not the original people that used them. Maybe the source remains unknown.
In my opinion, it was unnecessary for him Eugene Arhin to apologise because the construction is not original to Nana Addo, President Bush and President Clinton. It is a commitment that we share.”
