A host of celebrities and numerous other Americans paid a touching tribute to President Obama in a video shared by the White House titled ‘Yes We Can’.
The US President leaves office in just a little over a week to be replaced by his long time nemesis Donald Trump, and for many it is a tragic moment in US politics.
Ellen De Generes, John Legend, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and many other celebrities all appeared in the video, sharing their favourite moment of the Obama Presidency. Others were citizens who had been touched one way or the other by the historic reign of the US’ first African American leader.
