Ghana has a new head of state–President Nana Akufo Addo who was sworn into office on Saturday, 7th January, 2017.
Today being Monday marks his first day at work as a president, a position has been fighting for over a decade now.
And on his first day, he started work by inspecting a guard of honour mounted by the Ghana Armed Forces.
Peace Fm reports that, “Nana Addo arrived at the Flagstaff House at exactly 9am. He first inspected the guard of honour and was joined by Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and the Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare. After which he was ushered into his office.”
