3. John Evans Atta Mills – Ecomini
It was one beautiful and stressful weekday. President Mills was presenting his state of the nation address to parliament.

And it hit us like the nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. For a few minutes we couldn’t believe what was happening.

An acclaimed professor really plunged us into uncontrollably banter. Atta Mills fumbled with the word economy for close to a minute.

We heard everything from econimi to ecomimi. It was hilariously hostile what Ghanaians did to him after. Musicians recorded songs with it, stand-up comedians had a field day with it for years.

The days of our “ecomini” under President Mills was truly fun.
