Black Stars manager Avram Grant has dropped three players from his initial 26 man squad as he submits his final 23 man squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations.
Austria Lustenau forward Raphael Dwamena, who has scored 18 goals in 20 games for his club this season, is one of those spectacularly dropped – alongside former youth international Joseph Attamah Larweh and Abdul Majeed Warris.
The three drop out from the team that would compete in the tournament when it kicks off on the 14th of January in Gabon. Ghana is in group D alongside Mali, Egypt and Uganda as they attempt to improve upon the second place finish in last year’s tournament.
