Ramzy wowed many with his spectacular performances on the maiden edition of the then reality singing show ‘Stars of the Future’, which earned him the second position spot at the end of the show (finishing between Irene and Jane).
Yet not long after the show ended and before his career could really take off, Ramzy was convicted of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and received a steep 20 year jail sentence.
But in a round of Presidential pardons handed last week, Ramzy was one of those pardoned.
During his time in prison, the singer turned his life completely around, leading the prison choir for many years.
