“Don’t Blame NDC If ‘Dumsor’ Returns” – Charles Wereko-Brobby

Former Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority, Dr Charles Wereko-Brobby says the incoming administration should and can no longer blame the outgoing government if the dreadful ‘dumsor’ decides to pull its head again.

According to him, once they assume office, the onus will be on them to look for ways and means to solve any contingencies that may spring up.

Speaking on Joy News interview on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, he said:

“There is so much expectation and when the baton has been passed over, you can no longer say that Mahama caused ‘dumsor’ (power crisis). It becomes your responsibility.

There was a need to sustain the country’s power supply.

There are a whole lot of levies which have been put on what we might call the cost of recovery that you need to ensure that there is a sustained power going on. Those levies and taxes need to be looked at critically both in petroleum and power.”
