Actress Debbie Reynolds has passed away at the age of 84, just one day after losing her daughter, the legendary Carrie Fisher.
Reynolds suffered a stroke on Wednesday, barely a day after her daughter passed away on Tuesday. She was rushed to the Cedar-Sinai Medical centre where she died.
“She’s now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken,” Reynolds’ son, Todd Fisher said, according to the AP. He added that the stress of his sister’s death had proven too much for her to deal with. Reports indicate she was at Fisher’s Beverly Hills home helping plan her funeral when she suffered the stroke.
Carrie Fisher, the legendary Star Wars actress, died on Tuesday December 27 at the age of 60, after failing to recover from a heart attack she had suffered towards the end of last week. Mom Reynolds herself was Hollywood royalty, an Academy award nominated actress most known for her role in the musical ‘Singing in the Rain’.
