Brazilian midfielder Oscar is on his way to becoming the highest paid players in the world after completing a £52million move from Chelsea to Chinese Superlig side Shanghai SIPG.
Oscar, who has been on the fringes of the Premier League club this season and barely seen any game time, joins Asamoah Gyan’s former side, becoming the most expensive signing in the history of Chinese football.
But it is his wages that is making the most waves. The 25 year old is tapped to earn an incredible £400,000 per week, which are the highest wages in the world, higher than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Oscar, per these figures, would be making….
– £66p per second
– £40 per minute
– £2,380 per hour
– £57,142 per day
That’s Ghc 209 every MINUTE. As one user wrote on social media, ‘some of us are in the wrong profession’.
