Are You Ready For The Death Of Irony? Diamond Is Disappointed Viasat 1 Rewarded Rashida For Saying 'Mala Fakka' When She Herself Writes Far Worse On Social Media Constantly

Diamond Appiah has called out Viasat 1 for rewarding bad behaviour after the station awarded Rashida the Black Beauty its viral video of the year award at the just ended Jigwe awards.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, Diamond expresses worry that the organisers are essentially endorsing Rashida’s bad behaviour, considering she is famous for her use of swear words and verbally abusing her ex-boyfriend.
She wrote, in part…
“…to nominate n award a teenager who was shamefully sharing videos of how she taught one kushman how to have premarital sex n sweared at him using foul language for dumping her is below the belt n an insult to your viewers.
“By awarding her are u trying to promote immorality n promiscuousness amongst the youth n minors ? Encouraging them to post verbally abusive videos on social media for awards or endorsing swear words?
“I believe u owe ur viewers an apology bcos this is an insult to us.”
Diamond Appiah’s rant against Viasat 1 would make some sort of sense if it was not chock full of such hypocrisy.
Diamond’s indignation and consternation simply proves that her capacity for irony is dead, or she’s just that much of a damn hypocrite. Just go through her Instagram feed and look for the 2,001 times she attacked either Mzbel or Afia Schwarzenegger, and check out the language she used (or do the same in her GC feed here). She has used language far worse than any Rashida ever used, yet we are supposed to think she is offended by the word ‘Mala Faka?’
There is a reason the idiom ‘a pot calling the kettle black’ is one of the most used in the English language, because it is really profound. Diamond is living in that proverbial glass house yet is hurling stones without abandon. How many insults has she hurled at the aforementioned women on social media? – some really degrading and below the belt. Or she thinks using vulgar words is bad only when said in a video and not when written?
Rashida got an award? Diamond wanted to enter into Parliament despite her continuous use of unprintable language on social media. Talk about rewarding bad behaviour.
The argument against Viasat 1 rewarding Rashida can be made, but certainly not from Diamond Appiah the giant hypocrite.
