And from bad to worse it goes for singer Mzbel, whose one single act of running down Nana Akuffo-Addo in a video prior to the election looks like it might be her undoing as a public figure in Ghana.
Her vitriolic, ad hominem slurs against the now President-elect has made his followers very angry with her and since the election she has not been left in peace.
It seems her bad luck is even following her outside the country as she has been taken off the bill at an end of year party to be held in Belgium, the All White Party.
Mzbel was initially billed to perform as supporting artiste to the headliner, highlife legend Pat Thomas. But organisers say they received numerous concerns about her and in return, have taken her off the bill.
“This is to officially inform that the supporting artists MzBEL is off the event/ programme. The new supporting artists will be presented soon. Thank you.”
The singer, who has been hounded off social media, been harassed at her home, and suffered numerous other indignities since the election, just cannot seem to catch a break at the moment.
