Yesterday, the former Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah levelled the ultimatum to the president-elect for the restoration of teacher trainee allowances within a 100 days span as ridiculous but he has taken to his official Facebook wall to render an apology.
Apparently, his comments did not sit well with a lot of people and he had his own fair share of the backlashes hence the need to apologise.
According to him, he was quite livid as at the time of the interview and that resulted in his hasty and acidic utterances .
His apology reads:
“My friends, thanks for your advice and direction. It was never my intention to attack teachers as a whole. Indeed I am very much aware of the overwhelming support that the NPP got from teachers.
I went overboard and I sincerely apologise for that. I was caught off guard. And it was very unfortunate. I sincerely believe Nana will deliver on his promise to our teachers and to Ghanaians. Once again accept my apologies”
