Canadian actor Alan Thicke has passed away after suffering a heart attack Tuesday.
Thicke, 69, was playing hockey with one of his sons when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. He was rushed to a hospital in the Los Angeles area but was pronounced dead arrival.
Alan was most known for playing Jason Seaver, the patriarch in the popular ABC Family sitcom ‘Growing Pains’, which aired for seven seasons between 1985 and 1992. He was also a successful talk show host in his native country, also for a brief moment hosting ‘Thicke In The Night’ in the US before it was canned for low ratings.
Alan, also a songwriter for TV, was the father of uber successful pop star Robin Thicke.
