The person behind the biggest song in Ghana for 2016, ‘JM Onaapo’, David Aja, says he has not received a pesewa from the party for his composition of this massive hit track.
In a year when the ruling NDC spent a fortune to get reelected, and other creators of less successful songs made off with massive fortunes, this seems an incredulous tale, but Aja maintains that is exactly what happened.
Aja said in an interview with Pulse gh that he composed the song for the party out of his own personal love, and that he wasn’t approached to create the song – thus he did not bargain with anyone for use of his song.
“I was not approached at all. I started following the party when Prof. Mills was the candidate so I did a song for him but God called him and another attractive man came and I did a song for him.” he said.
“People are appreciating me for the song because they think I have done a good job. But no one has paid me because I did it to support my party and whatever anybody gives me or didn’t give me will not stop me from doing a song for my party” he added.
Aja also revealed what informed his choice of Onaapo for the song.
“You see when you have something that is so beautiful in Ga you have no other explanation but just to say Onaapo. So Onaapo is just a term to say Mahama is too much, he is too much,”
This guy has been taken advantage of soo much, and the worse part is he does not even seem to realise it.
People like dumelo were getting V8 and houses so if you didn’t negotiate fast then don’t talk abt it now because its OVER.
Your party lost miserably/ massively and now onaapo has become an NPP piss take song for fun LOL.
Heheheh yes so right on that! He helped hem won a hit song and didn’t get paid for it. What a waste of energy. He was loose or maybe they promised him a position after regaining power and now they’re our. Smh I feel sorry for him. Lol next time he will learn to stay of wicked ones.
