The founder and leader of the Christian Action Faith Ministries, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has called on the people who incessantly criticised the Electoral Commission chair, Charlotte Osei, in the build up to and the immediate aftermath of the 2016 elections, to come for forgiveness.
According to the Bishop, with the way that the elections has turned out and with the exemplary conduct of the Commission, Mrs Osei deserves apologies from those people.
“Those who demonised my daughter (Charlotte Osei) and called her all sorts of names without cause must come out and openly ask for forgiveness the same way they attacked her,” Williams reportedly said.
“Now that the verdict has gone in the opposite direction other than imagined, I hope they (the cynics) will come out and humbly admit that they were wrong,”
The EC Chair came under severe criticism, from both sides, during the election process as either side claimed the election was being rigged against them.
As much as I respect and love papa Duncan would have to disagree on this one. Am very sorry, because Charlotte is the one who’s supposed to apologize to the media and the citizens of Ghana. She was on the verged of rigging that election but God is so good, her plans failed. She kept lying about not receiving any pink certified sheets the very night after the election. Too bad her plans didn’t work and her delay tactics didn’t make any sense. Am sure If her boss mahama hasn’t conceded the defeat she wouldn’t have declared nana as he winner. On a serious note this lady should be forced to retire. I don’t trust her one bit. She might repeat same delays in the next four years. Smh
