The next first lady of Ghana Rebecca Akuffo-Addo, has made a pledge to Ghanaians that her husband, the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo,would work tirelessly to fulfill his campaign platform once he comes into office.
Nana Addo won the December 7 general elections and would take office on January 7, with numerous campaign promises to fulfill.
In a post on social media, the future first lady extolled the virtues of her husband, who she called a man of his word. She said she would work tirelessly to ensure he stays on his toes to fulfill the mandate handed to him by the people of Ghana.
“We thank God once again for this historic victory. Nothing can best describe the collective joy and relief that Ghanaians felt yesterday when President John Mahama called President-Elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on his successful election as the 5th president of the 4th Republic. We thank President John Mahama for his service to this country and for ensuring peace and calm.” Mrs Akuffo-Addo began.
“Nana Addo said in his speech last night that he is going to be a president for all and he will deliver on this. He is and will always be a man of his word. And the illimitable destiny of Ghanaians will manifest through Nana.
“I want to assure you also that I will do my best to make sure our promises to Ghanaians are fulfilled. Let’s now put our political lenses aside and come together to move this country forward.” she added.
