Actor John Dumelo has conceded that it is unlikely for President Mahama to win the elections as the NDC continues to believe and has therefore congratulated NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo on his victory in the polls.
A tweet sent out from the actor’s twitter account not so long ago congratulated Nana Akuffo-Addo on the victory.
It read;
“We fought a good fight…but the people have spoken. Congrats to president elect @NAkufoAddo.”
Dumelo has been missing in action on social media since voting ended and it became increasingly clear his chosen candidate, President Mahama, was on the way to a stunning loss.
However, this tweet has broken the silence and shown the maturity most of the NDC have lacked in the face of certain defeat.

Sam George also sent out a similar congratulatory tweet to Nana Akuffo-Addo earlier in the day, which he later claimed was the result of a hack – so we guess that could never be ruled out here as well.
