The flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has added his voice to calls congratulating the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, on his victory in the ongoing Presidential elections.
The 72 year old opposition is leading in the results compiled so far, although the Electoral Commission have not officially declared their own results.
In a social media post, Nduom congratulated Nana on his victory, adding that his party has accepted the outcome and urged for everyone to help the new government help bring Ghana back to the top.
“I wish to congratulate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP for winning the 2016 presidential election based on results available to me.” Dr Nduom wroteon his facebook page.
“The wind of change has blown in his favor. The NPP worked hard for this victory. I accept the decision of the people on behalf of the PPP. We must all now work hard to make our country great and strong and the people prosperous.”
Already, the People’s National Convention (PNC) candidate, Dr Edward Mahama, has also conceded to Nana Addo and congratulated him on his win.
