Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party has in Facebook post urged the Electoral commission to allow the people’s will prevail with regards to just ended general polls.
Following his concession, he wrote on Facebook:
“I know for sure that I am not the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission. Mrs. Charlotte Osei will tell the nation, and I hope soon and very soon, the confirmed results from yesterday’s elections.
If the Commission points to Nana Akufo-Addo, I will congratulate him. If the Commission points to John Dramani Mahama, I will congratulate him.
If the Commission points to a runoff, it will be done and I will congratulate the winner. But the final results must have integrity and must be based on the real votes cast by the people.
“The will of the people must prevail and that is the only path to peace and development”.
