The Ofoase Ayirebi constituency have voted a new Member of Parliament into office, as former broadcaster Kojo Oppong Nkrumah won a close race to win the constituency.
Oppong Nkrumah, who served for many years as morning show host for Joy Fm, entered the political fray only this election cycle, but managed to win the seat for the NPP.
Oppong Nkrumah won 16,845 – with the PPP’s Joseph Obiri Yeboah winning 8,751 whilst the NDC’s representative, Tom Kenneth Budu garnered 7,847 votes.
